Overview

DIRECTV tapped The Brand Amp with developing an immersive consumer activation for their San Diego Football Club partnership to showcase its best-in-class products MySports & MyFree, reinforcing that DIRECTV is “Your Home for Soccer”. To execute this goal, TBA supported the development of a 40’x40’ interactive footprint highlighting DIRECTV’s products during the pre-game Fan Fest. This Included: – A 20-foot living room wall featuring an 85” TV showing MySports packages along with various tethered tablets and mobile devices for guests to explore DIRECTV’s sports and soccer packages – A branded product demo wall with two TVs showcasing the brand’s interface and MyFree for guests to complete a short demo in exchange for a premium giveaway item – An eye-catching SDFC soccer ball wall serving as a photo opportunity – A 4-seat replica of the SDFC players dugout seats outfitted with tablets – and to be used as a unique photo opportunity – The activation also featured a sweepstakes providing guests the chance to win the “Best Seat in the House.” As a result of the early success of the activation, DIRECTV has begun to explore an expansion of the program. The activation’s goal for providing fans with aligned interests to DIRECTV’s products with the opportunity to engage with the brand in an immersive experience is now seeing endless opportunities.
